Zoltek's Take: This article supports our belief that the fundamentals for the wind industry are attractive in both the short term and long term. Vestas is continuing to execute and produce world class turbines for the wind industry, as noted by the large increase in their order backlog.
It’s important to note, that we only provide carbon fiber for Vestas’s large turbines/blades.
With Vestas being one of our largest customers, and in turn Zoltek being their largest supplier of carbon fiber, we believe that our position in the wind industry will continue to prosper. Our core strategy of being able to add carbon fiber capacity quickly and economically will continue to play a major role in helping Vestas, and the Wind industry in general, to overcome their constraints in the supply chain.
