Business Development Manager
Zoltek Corporation (www.zoltek.com), the leading supplier of commercial grade carbon fiber, seeks Business Development personnel to develop carbon fiber application markets. Our markets include many commercial applications, including: wind energy, auto, offshore drilling, aerospace, and many other diverse industrial markets.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and develop business opportunities in commercial application markets (wind, auto, offshore, pressure vessels, civil infrastructure, etc.)
- Conduct exploratory meetings with targeted customers in each application
- Develop strategy for penetrating market and offering a differentiated product/solution
- Evaluate entire value chain for each application, and develop strategy for placement of our product(s)
- Conduct market research and develop business cases for new applications
- Select and develop channels to market
- Define and evaluate partnering and/or acquisition opportunities
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Proven business development experience for large, multi-million dollar accounts
- Must be resourceful, ask intelligent questions, and know where to find the answers
- Solid knowledge of composite applications in the commercial / industrial environment
- Ability to travel approx. 25-50% of the time
